Writing posts ….. by Jim Adams
I am not an expert, but I have been doing this for a while and I have written over 1,600 posts on my blog. I don’t have a specific formula for writing, but as the American radio speaker and author Earl Nightengale once said, “Everything begins with an idea.” When Louis Pasteur felt that sudden flashes of insight don’t just happen he said, “Chance favors only the prepared mind”, so staring at a blank page or a blank computer screen is not going to help you write something. The award-winning journalist William Souder said “There’s an old saying that great writing is simple but not easy, and so it is”, thus you shouldn’t spend too much time trying to describe every detail, thinking of bigger words, and attempting to sound more erudite.
To me writing starts with being a follower and when you follow a blog on WordPress.com, the new…

Reena’s Exploration Challenge #97 — Writing, Creativity, and Writer’s Block
Jade Li’s take on CREATIVITY, writing and writer’s block…
Note: Please read these with a caveat that they most likely come, at least partially, from things I’ve read before.
On writing:
Simply begin. If you have no idea when you start, just type. Pull from that deep pool in your mind whatever bubbles to the surface. Be ready with the net on your fingers and snatch them and toss them up on shore. See them wiggling? Write with a fury, and edit at your leisure. Polish polish polish.
On Creativity:
You must have a base of experience or thoughts/processing based on experiences you have done or read about then tried in some fashion. If you are perched in front of a screen all of the time, how can creativity grow? You can build a framework with theory, but real life has to put flesh on the bones of it.
On Writer’s Block:
Worry, pressure…

Have we?
kittysverses explores the Challenge!
Have we evolved yet,
Boundaries, failing to abide that a constant threat,
Jealousy, lifting her ugly hood, inviting nothing but antipathy,
Hunger wars, failing to offer any empathy,
Status rivalry, lurking around with a sword,
Superiority has its last word,
Yet we choose to believe, we stand tall,
As, the sixth sense prevails above all,
Is it for real,
Or are we hoodwinking ourselves in the name of entitlement, is that the deal?
On Creativity :-
Bam!!! The doors closed,
And the realisation dawned, that many more were yet unexplored!
On Writer’s block :-
Blank!!!!!!
A hope for a new start and aspirations.

QUOTES – PREFERABLY AROUND WRITING, CREATIVITY OR WRITER’S BLOCK

I eagerly await your responses.
~~~~~~~~
In response to this Prompt, I found this wonderful Quote from Sylvia Plath.
And by the way, everything in life is writable about if you have the outgoing guts to do it, and the imagination to improvise. The worst enemy to creativity is self-doubt.
Whoever writes almost always derives Inspiration from real life. We take events in our lives or those of people around us and base our writing around them. The characters come from real life, their quirks their way of talking and thinking all have a seed of real people in them.
It’s just up to us to make good use of the inspiring material life has provided for us.
PROMPT
This week, we will play around with
QUOTES – PREFERABLY AROUND WRITING, CREATIVITY OR WRITER’S BLOCK
Who knows better about the writer’s block than me as it is my permanent residence.
Even if writing is not my passion, penning down my thoughts helps to get a clear vision.
Sharing views with each other is the best way of learning.
Lost and Found
Lost and found … by VJ Knutson
Fallen limbs and pathless woods
no obstacle for a wild child
left to her own devices,
searching for a self.
Only with age, and sprouting
curves, did I learn to be afraid
of shadows, that the woods
equated with wolves and lurking
And that abandoned places
house evil – held captive there
just this side of adolescence –
lost all that innocence gifts
Still I go to the woods –
stick to the well worn paths –
like to reminisce about old times,
invite that wild child along.
