You think you have a handle on everything only to discover something has popped up to throw the proverbial spanner in the works.

But that’s life.

The challenge is always to deal with it and cope with whatever consequences come our way.

Not everything can be solved; you don’t win every battle you take on; that’s the whole point of life.

Some people crave a life of uniformity where it’s the same thing day in and day out.

The problem with that is that when confronted, they often have little idea as to what to do about it and so may panic, throw their arms in the air and retreat further away from reality.

Encase me in those shiny flasks of yours,

Wall me down and contain my gushing flow,

I seek no shape,

I seek no form,

I seek no pattern,

Shapeless, I fit everywhere,

Formless, I support lifeforms,

Patternless, creek to waterfalls, I design my patterns,

I can survive anywhere, without me you can’t,

I can adjust anyplace, those beautiful clouds , those streams you admire,

I can roam freely, therefore you exist,

Inspired by Reena’s Exploration Challenge #157

This is her first time on the Ferris Wheel. As she laughed with unbridled joy, the twinkle in her eyes instantly transported me to the time, when I took her mom for the first time in the same ferry wheel. I still laugh everytime, remembering how she had screamed and held onto me for her dear life. As we got out of our Gondola once the ride was over, forgetting that she was the one screaming at the top of her lungs, she jumped up and down, coaxing me for another ride.

I got back to the present when a small hand shook me out of my reverie. I didn’t realize the ride was over. ‘One more round papa’, as I saw her jumping in glee trying to persuade me with her innocent eyes, I could definitely sense a pattern there.

A mammoth task stands unfinished

The time is now, either I do or die

The fault is all mine, I lacked foresight

This fact, to myself atleast, I cannot lie

Putting it off every single day,

No prioritisation, No planning

Pushed it till the eleventh hour

My asinine reasons are unforgiving

Accepting the state of the present

Facing fears, taking challenge head on

My brain, is at its creative best
