Heaven (Sealed and Delivered)

I.

heaven,
they say is peace
tonight your kiss;
i tasted, and i thought

what would i need to do
to keep your kiss forever?

II.

heaven
they say is joy
tonight your embrace;
i felt, and i wondered

how much longer
can i hold you in my arms?

III.

heaven
they say is utopia
tonight your love;
i welcomed, and i pondered

how much would it cost
to have your love always?

IV.

tonight
i write this letter
to you my love;
sealed, and i marveled

will heaven hear my plea
to have you ’till eternity?

Explosion

Explosions …
By Artie & Stu

artiecamenzind's avatarArtie & Stu

Meteorites smash into the moon.
On June 18th 1178 perhaps
observed by Gervase of Canterbury and four fellow monks
four hundred forty years before Galileo’s telescope.
Or they would have known the truth.
Or on March 19, 2013 captured by NASA,
while a bus crashed in Maharashta, tornadoes touched down in Oklahoma, mudslides wracked Rio de Janeiro.
Or February 23, 2023 captured
by Daichi Fujii, curator of the Hiratsuka City Museum
with cameras almost unimaginable in 1609.
And yet 2800kg of meteorite smashes daily
a hippopotamus exploding daily, sounds loony
although that’s why there are no hippos on the moon.

Reena’s Xploration Prompt #281

Curious Cappuccino joins us at RXC..

Curious Cappuccino's avatarCaffeinated Philosophy

I recently happened upon an intriguing prompt from Reena Saxena. Below the prompt is an image of a sealed envelope and the text, “Let’s see how you choose to open and decode this message.” The response can be in any format.

So, let’s find out what’s inside…

Hidden in the Everyday

Unexpected, unexplained

At my doorstep, pouring rain

As I hold it, rack my brain

But the effort’s all in vain

My mind’s a kettle, building pressure

Curiosity gets the better

As I unseal this wax-stamped letter

Hidden message escapes, unfettered

Into eagerly awaiting hands

Eyebrows leap, bewilderment expands

For this letter tells of far-off lands

In the heads of strangers, and of friends

Innumerable worlds, tucked away

Inside people you’ve passed by today

Unknowingly filling gaps your way

While universes spread before you, unsurveyed

Sealed away words, guards the secret,
Curiosity stirs, anticipation grows,
Unbroken seal, mystery awaits,
Unlock the envelope, let the secrets unfurl,
Let the Pandora’s box of tales, capture the world.

Opening up to myself

Opening upto myself …
By Rockstargirl

Rockstar Girl's avatarWhere Stories Can Spark Their Magic

How I felt when I read my words back to me it was like I was feeling every word that was speaking to me and I thought to myself throughout the end of the lines how I wrote such touching words the whole time and never actually shed a tear but it was in that moment when no one was around to observe me that I would just click on the blog and pick a post that spoke out to me and when I opened it I did not expect to find how much I was going to cry and I thought to myself it was almost like I wanted to read more just to see if there was anymore to the story and if the lines actually held the answers I was looking for but I did find something I found me putting myself into the other persons shoes…

Secrets…….

Secrets ….by Sadje

I’m curious; what’s in this envelope

My inquisitiveness is pushing me to take a peek

The prudence wants to step back and let it be

Life is like a sealed envelope for us in the beginning

Revealing its secrets to us gradually, one at a time

But sometimes the envelope remains sealed till the very end

And it’s only when we are done with most of our living

That the secret of what life is all about is unveiled to us

A sealed envelope though tempting/ inviting us to open

Can very be like Pandora’s box, that, once opened

Spills out things that we wished were still hidden!

Reena’s Xploration Challenge #281- Life Decisions

A Sealed Envelope …. by Susan St.Pierre

Susan St.Pierre's avatarSillyfrog's Blog

Let’s see how you choose to open and decode this message 🙂

Marj was in a dark dilemma.
She’d done so much crying that her eyes were nearly swollen shut.
What would she tell her parents when they returned from their overseas trip in ten days?!
He was 7 years older than she at 24, and her “first”, but he’d romanced her in a way that made her feel completely safe and valued. What a naive child she was! Now, that was all a tortuous month ago and he had since vanished.
The early pregnancy test had come back positive this morning and she now found herself rummaging in the attic for luggage to run away… or something else.
Another rush of panic made her fall to her knees praying to God for direction and it was then she spied the envelope between the rafters.
It was stiff-almost crispy- and…

I shared with the stars
my dreams and wishes
they winked at me
yet promised nothing

I mumbled to the moon
of my pain and fears
it shone on me
yet remained silent

I screamed to the skies
tales of woes
it sheltered me
yet refused to reply

across the skies
carried by stars
delivered the moonlight
A sealed envelope
my heart knew
my soul understood
a little bit of heaven
lay within 🤍

sealed still
to – be – read
when I do
I promise to
to share 😁😉

read with a smile, words
to understand , messages
dropped ~ from me to you 🌹

Gratitude : Thank you, Tanmay… for allowing me to steal your line😁🤍

Early Communication

Early communication …. by Jim Adams

newepicauthor's avatarA Unique Title For Me

Not that long ago and not in a galaxy far, far away, people here on Earth actually wrote letters to each other, so they could communicate over long distance.  This happened after writing was developed, but before the telegraph, or the telephone, or email was a thing.  Writing letters was how people stayed in touch.  People had to wait for weeks or even months for a letter to get from one part of the world to another.  If the letter was sent general delivery, then the post office would hold the mail until the recipient called for it.  In order to preserve the confidentiality of documents and confirm that they had been indeed written by the sender, letters were sealed with wax and stamped, which began in the Middle Ages.  At first, these sealed and stamped letters were the exclusive purview of monarchs, bishops, and royal courts for use in…
