Questions in Life

Questions in life ….. by Ramya Tantry

Ramya Tantry's avatarAnd Miles to go before I sleep...

The questions in life seem unending
When one is solved, the other appears.
Is this how life is supposed to be?
Am I sad to be thinking about life’s purpose?
Is my mind wondering?
Am I overthinking? Am I depressed?

Ahh!! More questions and no answer!!
And my futile life continues…

Peace can be found

If only we try

To save our planet

Look to the sky

Look after our oceans

Environment, then peace

Will reign supreme

If we’re not careful

We’ll wipe out our planet completely

If we want to see our world thrive

Not only thrive but survive

We must mind each other

Our animals

And our oceans

Peace can be found

Only when we work together

As a team

United as one.

forces discussion of private matters

who can i sleep with
what makes a woman

who may i love
what makes a man

why are bathrooms controversial

can’t everyone just mind their own business
i just want to be able to call you my sweetheart

Thought Bubbles

Thought Bubbles — by Diana Coombes

My post is written in response to https://reinventionsreena.wordpress.com/2023/02/16/reenas-xploration-challenge-268/

A circle of the brightest students of their age, sat in a circle, engrossed in their note pads. Thinking about what they could do to save the planet from its certain doom. Their colour, changing from one idea to another, their thoughts were as one.

If one teenager had an idea, the other would write it down. If their ideas were the same, their colours would match. A creative circle it was called by their teacher, where they all wore head sets.

Young minds, with so much to share, and at least one of them might have a solution to the lack of oxygen in the world. There were air bubbles, yes. Pockets, like electricity, you had to pay for. For some, time wasn’t their friend.

The National Health no longer viable, the poorest of the earth’s inhabitants died.

Wrinkles on the brows

Thinking hard

Trying to find

The answer

It is perhaps

Too late to take any action

To unite the divided humanity

To fix the broken trust and connections

Time

Time …. by Michelle Ayon Navajas

Time (A Flash Fiction)

it was 15 minutes past 6:00 in the evening. in that moment, i realized how beautiful the night sky was. it brought so much beauty like no other time of the day. the only sound was the wind whistling through trees along the busy street of the university belt, with the occasional honking of the car here and there. the city light became so melancholic that it was difficult not to ultimately be sad while looking at the night sky. and then, as i looked up, i saw a sight like no other a brightly shining full moon, a sea of tiny stars surrounding it, and a sky all around, covered with blackness, speckled with beauty.

but this beauty does not come without a cost. yes, the night offers the magical sights of a starry night sky. still, it also means that the day has…

In That One Moment

In that one moment …. by Artie

artiecamenzind's avatarArtie & Stu

On the table, by the water
a player and box of cassettes
cartridges, cases, covers all mixed up
play this one, no that one
this is The Place
no, it’s The Spot
The Place is that other Spot
oh, yeah, that’s right!

The lake water rippled.
The tree canopy hush.
Then we shut off the player.
It was about time to leave.
And in that one long moment.
We knew this was about the last time.
We were leaving The Place behind.
For far more than this day.
