Break the Vase

I watch the eras parading by
stories bloom on my wrinkled skin
I hug each moment to say
goodbye and release it
to free both of us
from memories
Death beckons
I find
peace

  1. I remember when I was “young.” I thought I had so much time to do everything I wanted to do. Now that I’m “older,” I struggle to find enough time to do everything I want to do. Your poem depicts the movement of time so well, Reena. 💜
