I lost the license to the stock photo despite having paid a hefty price for it.
Is it a consolation that the photo has lost its premium with the advent of artificial intelligence?
We mourn losses on losing the exalted ground beneath our feet built over decades of hard work, attention to detail and manipulation.
Are we ready to embrace new beginnings in another field unconditionally, and let it steer us forward?
Or do we recoil by a lurking fear of being manipulated, just like we swayed others with carefully constructed images of our supremacy?
Maybe it is someone else’s time to shine, but will they shed light on the darkness that we want to hide?

Excellent writing Reena! ❤ ❤ superb!

‘Or do we recoil by a lurking fear of being manipulated, just like we swayed others with carefully constructed images of our supremacy?’
That’s the main cause of fear for them. Superb writing, Reena.

It’s a bit worrying, but I suppose we’ll get round it, eventually. Don’t you think?

They probably do shine light on the darkness that we wish to hide.

Interesting thought at the end: “will they shed light on the darkness that we want to hide?” I also liked the description of “manipulation” as swaying others “with carefully constructed images of our supremacy” which would be a form of gaslighting.

I would think that our private darknesses are safe, at least for now, Reena…

Nothing gets deleted on the internet. It is safe only as long as it is not discovered.
