colors, flavours tactile inspirations aroma of good food onset of celebrations infusion of novelty in small doses keeps up excitement one smells the roses wrapped up in balls to weave creativity I know it’s all short-lived with my mortality enjoying all that I can and prepared to go I may not see next summer or vast expanse of snow Share all one can love, joy, bubbles, laughter I hope to leave pain behind In this world and thereafter

Thank you, Helen! We may be fleeting, not time.

Reena,
I love the poem’s “move” from celebration to recognition (“I know it’s all short-lived/with my mortality”) to resolve (“share all one can”). It flows effortlessly, even jauntily, as images juggle against one another, and by the end, a release into hope. Well done.
