Stardust

I’m in your sight
Not in your reach,
Spreading magic
In what I teach.

I’m starting to fade
Into the light,
Orbs of me drift
Into the night.
I find myself
Amongst the stars,
Shooting brightly
But not that far.
I’m in your sight
Not in your reach,
Spreading magic
In what I teach.
I’m floating high
In addictive lust,
Scattering myself
Into stardust.

Handling Dissent

The whole controversy sparked by the sacking of James Damore by Google has highlighted the finer nuances of power struggles in corporates, unrelated to diversity and feminism. His views on his female colleagues cannot be justified by any means. The term ‘Menazis’ (as opposed to Feminazis) will soon be in circulation, thanks to Damore. But … Continue reading Handling Dissent

What fuels my writing?

Elsie Hagley honored me with a Unique Blogger award, today, and asked a number of questions, which has prompted a lot of reflection. I could not capture it all in a single blog, but have answered her questions honestly. So, here we go, Elsie .... Can you remember the first story you ever wrote? Film Noir, Act 36

Exquisite imagery!

Graveyard journey.
Ghosts whisper, dance,
twist, shimmer.
Breeze skips through leaves.
Clouds balloon, curl, drizzle,
storm bubbles open.
Lightning sparks, sounds echo.

Dawn spills, melts rose-red.
Peppered blood-shadows
scar green spring grass.
Nervous giggle jars grin,
breath flickers.
Cue still lull,
death lurks near.

Daily Prompt – Tailor

Beautiful metaphor…

radhikasreflection's avatarradhikasreflection

tailor

She cut open the seams

her insecurities and pain

that were haunting her

from her dark past.

She put the thimble and needle to work

as she sewed back all the tears and holes

with colourful dreams of hope

and secured it with strength

drawn from her resilient heart.

She tailored a perfect gown

to hide her scarred soul.
