I long for your love

When least suspecting

It brushes past me

Caressing my soul in the subtlest of ways.

The passing smile, the words of encouragement,

The giggle at my folly

The helping hand to fix another stuff up.

The notes I find where a gentle kiss

Reminds me you are near.

Finding you wrapped round me

On the coldest of nights

Your warm feet my human hot water bottle.

The engaging pillow talk,

Your patience when you try to explain

An issue that bothers you.

Your smile when you return with your brewed cup-a-joe.

We love to disengaged from the turmoil in the world

By sitting at the back fence watching the ducks

Strut in ownership the creek and all surrounding it.

I long for together moments

Nestled into each other

Just you and me.

He:- “Its a beautiful place, Isn’t It?”
She:- “Yes.. beautiful and silent. There is no one but still feels like we are not alone…”
He:- “coz my dear this place is haunted. The reason it is deserted at this hour is no one dares to stay here after sunset.”
She:- “What? And you brought me here?”
He:- “Haha because I wanted you n me to be alone somewhere and I thought no place is perfect then this. And you know that I dont believe in ghosts, spirits and whatever.”
She:- “But you know that I believe, right? Now lets go. (Angry She started walking then suddenly stops)Wait..Whats that?

Reena’s Exploration Challenge #Week 29 – The Philosophically Challenged

ceilingsFeel free to write whatever comes to mind. (And I did!!)

The annual meeting of the philosophically challenged met to hear the eminent professor, Louis V Socratrees. His visit and expected lecture on the virtues of the placement of ceilings in the modern technological world was anticipated by most as the highlight of the meeting.

“Ceilings,” he began to the hushed room, “are there for a purpose. And that purpose is logical and at the same time baffling and tiresome to those who require a straight answer to most questions.

They are there in most rooms you enter to remind us that we have to continue the struggle to achieve what most would consider the impossible.

Ceilings represent those things in life we crave for but never achieve. The pursuit of happiness is one we occasionally get fleeting glimpses of like when you win a lottery prize, score a goal…

Reenas Exploration Challenge Week 27

pain

I have been thinking about the above statement for a few days now, sorting it out in my mind. Pain can become something more. A way to tell you are alive. A way to overcome adversity. The path to a new understanding in your life.

In the beginning, however, why else would there be pain except as an instinctive response to preserve life and limb? Feel pain. Bad. Run away. Or crawl away or whatever one is capable of doing at the time.

Pain? Shouldn’t climb that tree and fall out. Shouldn’t fall off of high rocks. Or let a snake bite you. Or a saber-tooth tiger. Or stand in the way of a woolly mammoth stampede. Not sure how fast Woolly Mammoths were able to run, but even at a plod, standing in front of them was not a good idea.

Then came tools…

Reena’s Exploration Challenge #Week 28

slow-thought-challenge-28

I found this quite a challenge.

Milestones are things we are expected to meet I think, like a baby’s first steps, first words that sort of thing. When we don’t meet those milestones, people worry about us. But when you are older, I wonder what the milestones are meant to be? Death? Illness? Decline?

Life does move at a hectic pace, and we are told we need to keep abreast of it if we are to live in the modern world. Time does fly by and not always because we are having fun.

I think as I get older I am more and more aware of the passing of time. Even thinking back to last Friday where I was in the hospital having a procedure to my feet done. I was understandably nervous about it all. But suddenly its Sunday down here and Friday is in the past, and I…
