Conundrum!

Conundrum ….. by Radhika

radhikasreflection's avatarradhikasreflection

Contemplating on choices at crossroads

Chaotic cacophony prevails in the indecisive mind

Creates contours of illusionary dimensions

Clarity camouflaged by conflict of thoughts

Complex patterns emerge, trying to channelize the clutter

Connecting the dots, seems to be a challenge

Conundrum sums up life’s path!

This style of poetry is called Pleiades. It has only one word in the title followed by a seven line stanza. The first word of each line begins with the same letter as the title.

Singularity

Singularity ….by wordflorilegium

dancjulian's avatarWord Florilegium

1st thought: ach, my smoker lungs
2nd thought: network of neurons
3rd thought: stained glass by Geiger
further thoughts:

i see process upon process, nesting and connecting
functions calling functions, recursive as the Mandelbrot
built of innumerable all-or-nothings
simple signals: ones and oughts

i think of artificial intelligence
supervised machine learning and big data
the hole down which the rabbit went
for tea with the mad hatter

i know a little about a lot, not a lot about a little
which is why my thoughts often peter out, loop, and repeat
or retreat into terms like ‘the whole kit and kaboodle’
rather than admit defeat

i try to see a line of thinking through to conclusion
and sometimes it even works out
but in this case, a matter this complex,
a guess is all i’ve got

i guess we are the parents
and computers are the kid
A.I. will live…

#162. AGREE TO DISAGREE!

Agree to disagree …. by Ramya Vivek

Ramya Vivek's avatarMy Musings

What do you see?

‘It looks like an elephant to me!’

‘No ways, it looks like three men are holding hands, standing side by side’.

‘Are you mad? It looks like Goddess Durga is sitting on a lion, giving us her radiant smile and blessing.’

To each, his/her own.

You might not see the same things that I see,

you might not feel the same things that I do,

you might not even believe in things that I blindly believe.

Yet, don’t let your differences dominate you and stop you from respecting others’ thoughts and beliefs.

Let us respectfully agree to disagree!

I See Naked People

I see naked people ….. by Jim Adams

newepicauthor's avatarA Unique Title For Me

“I don’t know about you doc, but when I look at this picture, all I see are naked people.  I am prepared for this as my mind is always forming pictures of naked bodies.  I am used to seeing my wife naked and watching her undress, but when I see new people naked, it always seems more exciting, because of the forbidden taboo aspect.  These people are stripped of their identity, but they seem to be comfortable in their own skin, as they hide their perfect bodies behind a web like curtain, however they make no attempt to cover up or scramble to find their clothes.  They just seem to enjoy putting it all out there for my viewing pleasure.  I think that they have a wish to be free, but their desire for attention and their craving to shock others, makes me think that they are sexually frustrated.”

“What a tangled web we weave. . .”

When every thought we reveal

Is not the dream we perceived

And now stand in disbelief

Of what these roots and tangles mean.

~ Linked ~

Everything is linked …. by snowdrop

snowdrop's avatarSnowdrop

May seem maze…but a mesh…

One Might be living in mystery…
One might be living in pain…
One might be living in reel…
One might be living in mirage..!

Can’t see the whole picture…
But everything make sense!!
You can’t control some things.. It may tied with moment of high expense… !!

This is one phase…
Live fullest till it glaze…
It may sucks…
Trust me it worths!
Each happening has its value…
Each clash has its warrant…

You can’t deny..This moment you are reading..but your destiny already inked!!
If you can map… Each moment helped you somehow…as if
Everything is Linked!!

Our Earthly Life

Don’t miss this brilliant composition by Goutam Dutta — Our Earthly Life

gdutta17's avatarGoutam's Writings

A single cell,
Latching on to another.
Then begins the process of building
A complex net.
Multiple cells
Latching on to each other,
Interconnected,
Chaos within a boundary,
Orderly chaos-perhaps?

Within this chaos,
Life throbs, thrives,
Picks up ideas, images,
Leading to some more chaos
In thought process,
In relationships,
Generation of stereotypes,
Fixated notions.

As time progresses,
The web becomes more complex,
Knotted, twisted-
Like many balls of wool
Opened all at once,
Leading to a complete mess
Difficult now to unravel
Find the ends.

With time, the tangled mess
Leaves one helpless,
And peace comes
Only when everything stops;
Eternal rest!

PROMPT #154

What you see below is neither an image prompt nor a theme.

I prefer to see it as a background on which you have to write something.

Do you see layers here, or is it just a two-dimensional image? Is something hiding out there, which you need to discover? Or something just pops into the mind as you see it one more time?

Let me see the creativity that pours out in the foreground.

So, here you go ….

<^><^><^><^>

Layers upon layers

Facts and truth intermixed

What is right and what is false

Is my eye sharp enough to discern

It is not all white nor it is all black

A thousand shades inhabit the in-between

Find your reality and your truth from this jumble

For each of have a unique way of looking at life

Cloudy Chaos

Cloudy Chaos …by Aishwarya

kittysverses's avatarKitty's Verses

From cloudy chaos,

Clarity flickers like a beacon of hope,

Luring into her maze of amazement,

Capturing in her trap,

She walks out like a mocking maiden,

Along with her bagful of ideas and tricks,

String of creativity remains to be woven!

42 words.

Thoughts :- Many a times ideas strike like lightning only to vanish within no time leaving me in eternal bewilderment. A tribute to those ideas which were never penned, nonetheless are an inspiration for this poem.

Table Talk

Table Talk …. by Len

Responding to Reena’s Exploration Challenge # 153. How do my thoughts get processed into words?
Or do my words spur thoughts? How do they interact?https://reinventionsreena.wordpress.com/2020/09/17/reenas-exploration-challenge-153-expression/

Setting: My daughters house, family celebration of the triplets 15th birthday, Brianna, Kayleigh and Devin. Fourteen people seated around the dinner table.

Devin: Are kitchen cabinets made in the factory.

Grandad: They can be made in a factory or custom crafted. Why do you ask.

Mom: Devin’s into carpentry. He made his own bookcase.

Devin: I asked for a table saw for my birthday. Still waiting.

Grandad: Were you manufactured or custom made, Tarrin.

Tarrin: I was custom made of course. Nothing but the best.

Brianna: No you weren’t. Mom and dad adopted you from Sweden:

Tarrin: She’s always saying that just because I’m the only one in the family with blond hair.

Brianna: I’m only telling the truth.

Colleen: That’s not a…
