No matter how hard I try, I’ll always be the odd one out
The society judges me by its skewed standards and I don’t fit
Conformation is not my aim nor my desire in life
Being like everyone else never held any appeal for me
I like being different, I like my individuality
If I am a square peg in a round hole, I am rather proud of it
They call me a misfit, and aim to hurt or provoke me
They don’t know that I crave this title, am absolutely good with it

Contrived, the marketing schemes
colour added to mask the perils
No amount of dye can alter
the truth for our world faces
the midnight hour, time
for preservation waning.

Prompt # 195 Image Prompt
Three words:
Backscatter
Angle
Sickle
Reflection of objects…..
Light from a flashgun,
Shows deflection of radiation,
So much reversed in direction,
That backscatter duplicate image or reflection!!
Underexposed picture incident,
Cloud diffuses sunlight
Giving soft light
With a blizzard effect!!
Reflection bounces back the incident particle,
Scatters and forms an angle,
Image looks like a sickle,
Effects are determined by a simple analytical model!!
What if …. you are dependent?
It’s easy to be a feminist when one is financially independent, and in a social environment conducive to living alone?
What happens in the societies where unmarried girls stay with parents, or a dependent wife stays in her marital home AND faces mental abuse. They continue to stay there because the world outside may be crueller than that. The abusers provide a roof on the head, and an iota of deemed social respectability.
How long does it take to start earning and move out of the house?
Is it always advisable for a single girl to get married, only to escape her abusive parents?
Is it easy for a married woman to file for divorce with no support outside, and financial interests entangled with the abusive husband or in-laws?
The abuse that children grow up watching makes them think it’s normal, and the patterns spill over into their personal lives.
