A must-read for writers .... by Charli Mills
The Stolen Identity!
The Stolen Identity ……by Radhika
Traumatized by the disaster,
painful emotions besieged my core.
Beeping monitors and tubes injected,
kept me confined within the dreary hospital walls.
Surrounded by strangers fussing over me
I scanned for a familiar face, yet found none.
Paranoia left me fearing my own shadow.
Fate dealt a cruel blow,
realization dawned, that the accident had stolen
my memory, identity and my life from me!

lurking below in the shadows
under the peel of my body
realness
is sequestered
in a culture favoring the shallow
a non-wave making personality
us
being perfectly fitting puzzle pieces
molded into a society of sameness
sometimes i am ashamed to possess a stolen identity
Don’t take what doesn’t belongs to you!
Don’t take what doesn’t belong to you ….by Sadje
You want something that doesn’t belong to you
Something which is personal to me
As personal as my name or my identity
You can move in my shadows
You can sneak into my periphery
Like an imposter you pretend
To be another version of myself
But……….
This falsehood will be exposed
When you will be unable to provide
Any real or authentic thoughts
Anything with substance real
All you have in your hand
Is a ghost of reality
Let go…….
Turn back to your dark world
Where you dream dreams of victory
By robbing others of their reality
Where you will forever remain
Prisoner to your lack of imagination

Lost and found
Lost and found ….by Aishwarya

Scattered from realms of reality,
Lies within a stone’s throw,
And sometimes as far as mind can imagine,
Keys to a land,
Where tantrums of time doesn’t thrive,
Where stardust of luck does seem real,
Inside bubble of mind.
Scattered from realms of reality,
Isolated and lost,
Locked out of a safe haven,
Where strangers surround,
Trapped without a way out,
I fall back, and find,
Keys to fertile imagination.

Reena’s Xploration Challenge #207- Metaverse
Indira’s take on the metaverse…
here are three prompts. You may choose one or two or all, and incorporate the concept in the prompt. It is not necessary to include the words.
- Write a story from inside a bubble.
- Augmented reality
- Metaverse
A report says-
‘ When it’s done, instead of using Messenger to catch up with a long-distance friend, you’ll use the metaverse to virtually transport yourself to a digital coffee shop to meet up. Instead of going to a store to try on a dress, you’ll pop on a VR headset and use hologram technology to try it on from home. Ditto that virtual meeting: The metaverse will make remote workso convincingly present, there won’t be much of a difference between beaming in and physical being in the meeting room…’
What if theydeliver
what they say
without any trouble?
Sitting all alone
when immobility has hampered me and my soul

WDYS # 107 – A Roundup post

➰➰➰
The dreams that I dream
Fly off to heavens and
Transform into palaces
When I will go there
I’ll find all unrequited wishes
Waiting for me, the reward of being
Patient

Bubbled
Bubbled ….by VJ Knutson
Deception holds these walls in place
denial renders them invisible
I am a dreamer floating
in a bubbled realm…safe
Breathe softly, still
the midnight air,
calm the inner
children,
sing tender
lullabies
of forever…
pretend
Solitude lends
perfection
to daily noise
I am invisible
motionless
free….
deluded.

Carol Anne’s take on Xploration Challenge #207
Cocooned inside my bubble
safe from the outside world
Tucked away
Getting through each day
Shielded
Happy in the knowledge
That I am ok
Each and every single day
I can do this
I will make it
Inside my bubble
Where I don’t struggle

Mom Lost Her Mind
Mom lost her mind ….by Francis the Frenchie
I’m not sure what reality Mom lives in, but it’s definitely not the same as mine.
She made me watch the movie “Big” with Tom Hanks—which was confusing because everyone still fit on the screen as if they were normal size—and she told me I’d be in trouble if I interrupted with any unnecessary barking.
The next day, she comes walking through the door with a keyboard the same size as the one in the movie, talking about training me to dance on the ivory with my four paws and play “chopsticks.”
