W is for Wrapped Refrain

Wrapped Refrain ….. by Lady Lee

ladyleemanila's avatarLadyleemanila

Mass of people crossing the road

Grey clouds, trenches built, river flowed

Rejecting what we’ve done to earth

Pollution, suffering and birth

Killing nature purely for profit not regal

Not thinking of the future and mass of people

Forgive us for what we have done

Hatred and war not so much fun

Search for the next generation

Different colours of the nation

A lot of important issues need to discuss

For being irresponsible please forgive us*

Tweets and Blue Skies

Bird songs are changing. The voice, pitch and content might all acquire new dimensions. Twitter has got a new owner. The birds outside my window chirp in their usual urgent tone, demanding food. I cater to their needs quickly. They give me hope. Silently, I bless the birds and pray they are not overpowered by … Continue reading Tweets and Blue Skies

Somewhere Always Leaving Arriving

Somewhere always leaving arriving ….by Artie & Stu

artiecamenzind's avatarArtie & Stu

Deconstruction imploding outside text
only alone standing alone
dominating the subversive paradigm
the chords are all
one song without beginning
without ending without finality
searching further transformation and
putting pieces back together.

Coming to everywhere at Reena’s Exploration site.

Criss-cross … by moondustwriter

standing in a corridor

just too many feet

ebb flows with humanity

no elemental beat

cross contamination

no notes neatly on a scale

standing in obscurity

life colourless and pale

shadows move around me

where do they all go

dissonant, yes empty

I stand before all woe

In the sea of humanity

In the sea of humanity …. by Sadje

The image given above is your prompt for the week. Write whatever comes to mind.

In the sea of humanity

Milling around like directionless molecules,
We each try to find our identity, our place
Realizing our insignificance, yet knowing our uniqueness
Each of us is cognizant of our importance, real or imagined
Like tiny ants we go about purposefully on our missions

Are we, each of us

Are making any difference?

Or are we deluding ourselves
That we are doing something worthwhile?

Drowning

Drowning …. by Michelle Navajas

michnavs's avatarmichnavs

Drowning

i am in the middle of a sea of crowd
drenched in my own thoughts
i fell in the stream of unjustifiable tension
and got competely deluged
its taking over all the best in me
its getting over my nerve.

i searched for a hand to take me out
of an engulfing ocean of oblivion
but i can’t seem to keep a hold of my grip
the harder i try the easier i falter.

i can’t breathe i am suffocated
i need to let go but letting go
would mean total drowning and
would mean completely losing myself.

Computer code travelling across the internet like a crowd of tourists, surging towards the next data. A series of zeros and ones. Each travelling in a different direction. Where are they going? What search will it be next? Has a writer suddenly got a new idea? Whatever the question, the internet can search it all.

Back to the beginning, when code was invented, and the first computer needed a room all to itself. Now, compact, in a mobile so small, anyone from the past would wonder how the information got there.

Jump into the shadow, and back into the light. Every thing happening in the world at the touch of a keyboard. Typing more natural than speaking to another person. Information overload. One word, one line, one paragraph – writing a story for which there is no end.
