It is reasonable to say, in the UK our political system is a bit crazy at the moment. We have had two prime ministers in two months. On the second attempt Boris decided he was going to try again.

In truth we need an election, for the politicians to understand what we need to be done. We know the economy is in a crisis, and something needs to be done. However, rehashing old policies, isn’t the way.

There are many people on the poverty line, who are relying on food banks to eat. Most of the time they are working, but on low-income wages. It isn’t right. Why not seize that moment of failure in your mind

And think back on how to re-capture that possibility in life

Maybe learn from the mistakes in the past and go forward

Do better, take a different course, and re-direct your steps

We live life one day at a time so that we can learn from yesterday

And do things differently today and tomorrow!

One day, Devon would remember that as a fateful moment.

The United States Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) and the Republican Minority Leader of the United States House of Representatives Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) both seem to care more about stopping any Democratic legislation than they care about doing anything good for our country.  If the balance of power shifts and they get control of the House and the Senate, they will be investigating Hunter Biden, trying to impeach Joe Biden, looking for ways to give tax cuts to the rich, putting more restrictions on voting privileges and abortions and ending democracy as we know it.  There is a good chance that Trump will rear up his ugly head again and continue with his lies, but since he is their man, they will be following him all the way to hell.  I don’t even want to mention Margorie Taylor Green or why anyone could be so stupid to vote for her, but…

The woman’s face squinched up to quell tears she knew were there, collecting, for so very long – pennies in a jar. She didn’t wish to cry them nor did she wish to deny them and so chains, held ever so tightly, locked with resolve, widened and weakened.

Palpable, she felt the pent up power pulsate; out of control, creating a vortex of emotion and energy. Fuel to produce or fodder for indulgence? Its caress, tender and intimate as that of an artful lover; she did not submit to indulgence nor to the allure of the eddies forming this maelstrom.

Face uplifted, she took a step forward, and silently, defiantly invoked the whirlwind…
