Lisa’s contribution to Exploration Challenge #125

Entrenched in self in harmful ways;
Consumed by lust, by fear, by doubt,
Please quench dark flames; in kindness shout!
Back to the root of things, I say.
Remember that heirs’ ripples pay
The price, do not your cruelty flout.
Set down the gender roles you ought.
Seek out the root of things, I say.
Please walk the walk, stop playing games!
Don’t train your kids to play a role!
(All parents understand just how.)
Back to the root of things, I say.
Continue them, continue shame;
Release them, let a New Age glow,
Where soul to soul our species grow.
Act from the root of things, I say!
Today’s offering is a kyrielle form poem.

Imprints Vs Impressions ….by Aishwarya
Videos, social media accounts,
Likes that counts,
Information at fingertips,
News about places sans planning those fun filled trips,
Life now is made easy,
Without frills and fancies, then it was breezy,
Is that now we are gripped by fear,
Living our daily lives becoming unclear?
Leaving imprints isn’t hard,
Long after we are gone, we shall remain through recordings and lovely picture cards,
Leaving lasting impression on one another would be easy or not,
Would it be a long shot?

More tantalising than love, more fertile than soil, more productive than the best consultant - Imagination will go with me. There will be time to discover if the afterworld meets my thoughts or not, and there will be more time to choose where do I go next. It is what I have not achieved that … Continue reading Library of Imagination
It is yet another session on identifying causes and symptoms of depression it made her feel sometimes. “It seems that some people enjoy being depressed,” opines a participant, “Life is too hard to face otherwise.” “We need to understand that antidepressants put them in a transitional phase, and effects need to be carefully monitored. Time stopped many memories ago. Remnants of that frame of mind brings her back here again and again, knowing well that nobody will turn up, and she will return alone. Once again, she scans those messages - typed with the right emojis, scanned carefully for errors or ambivalence - lying in Drafts. https://only100words.xyz/2020/03/05/three-line-tales-week-214/
Coming back to life is a dream come true … for those who worked at nullifying the curse, for those who waited patiently for the unfreeze, but did not live to see this day. There is bustling life outside – humans looking different, semi-humans and robots. And the inhumans? Well, they’ve always been there, but … Continue reading The fly who escaped traps
OUT OF STOCK! Well, I cannot read the language, but perhaps it says the same. Empty shelves are testimony to it. The city has not been receiving fresh supplies for the last few days. It is the corona virus scare obstructing movement. Stock market indices are all going south. The street urchin is not sure … Continue reading Epidemics
