International Peace and Love Day

Nature divided the world into continents. There are oceans, forests and deserts that separate regions and inhabitants from one another. It’s no wonder we created communities, then kingdoms and nations and the so-called United Nations. No wonder that many of them are at war with each other due to insecurity or a desire for more. … Continue reading International Peace and Love Day

The paradox that’s a woman

The paradox that’s a woman …. By Sadje

Sadje/ Sadie's avatarKeep it alive

We have a collage to fire your imagination this week.

➰➰➰

She is often called the weaker sex

Weak?

She is stronger than how she looks

And she’s tougher than the macho man

Delicate and beautiful to look at certainly

But nerves of steel sheathed in silk, is she

Lifting heavy weights of all entrusted to her

Seldom you will hear her complaining

She bears her responsibility with aplomb

And leaves you admiring the paradox

That is woman- both delicate and strong

Strength ….by Diana Coombes

Inspiration from https://reinventionsreena.wordpress.com/2023/07/06/reenas-xploration-challenge-287/

A woman, who is okay about being alone, is a powerful woman.

She didn’t need anyone in her life right now, that was for sure. Her divorce; messy was putting it lightly. It wasn’t all Tom’s fault, but then it wasn’t hers either. Something had happened between her having Theresa, and growing apart. She told herself it didn’t matter if she were at home, looking after her child, while he was at work.

Losing part of herself, and it became clearer when her only child went to school. Before marriage, she worked as a manager in a computer firm. In charge of many, happy with her work.

Afterwards, being a housewife wasn’t for her.

Alone, like the tallest mountain peak, but there was a beauty in the ice. If you looked close enough, it had its own life. Breathing in, out, in a steady unison of power…

Wish

The history of flights taken by my owner is testimony to my contribution. I lament my irrelevance floating in the air, or grounded – close enough to be gobbled up by a curious kitten or puppy. Did the bird support me, or I supported her? Whistling winds and blue skies cast an inviting glance, but … Continue reading Wish

Opening a New Tab, Where Privacy is a Lock, Like I Ruined My Life into a Story

I ruined my life into a story …… by Rockstar Girl

Rockstar Girl's avatarWhere Stories Can Spark Their Magic

I may have ruined my life and maybe that was my fault of how it was meant to be but no one caught the glass of every memory that fell over my head and instead of shedding the petals of me into thorns like life had promised me I was pieced of my heart that fell into the glass of me instead where I was comfortable being alone because I had the chance to embrace the private moments without anyone looking over my shoulder and suffocating me for answers to what I had written on the page like the distance was not enough to satisfy the crowd

Where everyone only came to me because of the words they could copy off my notes even though it was not the right answers but some never cared if they were wrong but still wanted to pick up the pen and write what…

Reena’s Xploration Challenge #287- Faith-Nature-Art-Solitude

Faith- Nature-Art-Solitude …. by Susan St. Pierre

Susan St.Pierre's avatarSillyfrog's Blog

We have a collage to fire your imagination this week.

Where might certain power be?
It’s retained in what we feel and see.
Faith can be noticed, as well as, felt.
Good living’ promotes our society’s health.
Nature provides both wonder and awe,
As all living creatures are bound by her law.
Art, an expression born of a spiritual mind,
Eclectic endeavors promote growth ‘in kind’.
But solitude reminds each person unique,
Introspection’s prized function to find all we seek.

Her Cross to Bear

Her cross to bear ….
By Jim Adams

newepicauthor's avatarA Unique Title For Me

We all have our crosses to bear, problems that cause trouble or worry which may continue over a long period of time.  Some of the things that go bump in the night turn out to be real and she experienced creatures lurking in the shadows, monsters hiding underneath her bed and living in her closet and she was always too frightened to go into the basement.  She knows that people think she is crazy, but most of her life has been like a being on a tour through Dante’s nine circles of hell.  What is “normal,” anyway?  Are any of us normal?  Aren’t we all a little crazy in one way or another?  Maybe a line needs to be draw somewhere, so it is never crossed.  What caused this transformation in her life, where did she go wrong?

Her uncle groped her when she was nine and the kids in the…
