It rained

It rained …. On specialmomsblog and her garden

ganga1996's avatarSpecial Mom’s blog

A month of hot weather. The plants were sad. Their owner had been watering them from a watering can but they all wanted a shower from mother nature. With the smog it was much more difficult for them.

Usually they would get their blessings from Mother Nature at least once a week. But they could hear humans talking about climate change. They couldn’t understand a tiny bit and had their heads down. But it all changed one night. There was lightning and thunderstorms and more than an inch of rain showered on them. When humans closed their doors and slept scared of the lightning and thunderstorms the plants looked up in joy and started dancing.

The next day morning the zinnias had their first bloom. “We love our owner and his watering can but nothing can beat Mother Nature”, they said to each other.

Everlasting Ink: When this Story Ends

Everlasting ink – when this story ends

Rockstar Girl's avatarWhere Stories Can Spark Their Magic

When this story ends, Will I see myself again, as the one of me I never thought could ever leave, which was

The mermaid that longs for the looking of her soul

The one that thought therainof the water would never come again because he took her soul with him

And never gave it back because he thought the healing water was in her soul to keep

But he never treasured the mermaid from the sea he just wanted to keep her soul for himself

But she found a way to break through the bond that carried her in his circus of tricks and she found true love which was the promise of needing legs

To walk on the surface but that never meant she couldn’t be who she really was even with him for if he didn’t accept her

The sea would be her everlasting wish where…

Almost A Slow Burn

Almost a slow burn … by Michelle Ayon Navajas

michnavs's avatarmichnavs

Almost A Slow Burn

it was meant to be a slow burn love story,
it was meant to be a drizzle of rain in between two unassuming hearts,
it was meant to be a steady summer slumber,
it was meant to be a happy ending;

instead a star -crossed lovers’ story happened,
instead there were solid downpour of unforgiving circumstances,
instead there were nightmares on hot summer days;

two hearts, needless to say wishing for a love to stay,
that summer when the rain wasn’t pouring,
that summer when dreams were like wishing upon a star,
that summer when the world felt like an enchanting place;

two souls, needless to say hoping to be one,
that moment when almost was just almost, a slow burn.

Brisbane in the Rain

Brisbane in the Rain … by Dan

Dan's avatarDan's Writing and Gaming Blog

On her writing blog Reena Saxena has provided the word “rain” as her weekly writing prompt. I live in Australia, and I’ve recently returned from a trip to Brisbane and Melbourne. I’ve written a haiku based on the impressions of a beautiful afternoon on July 4 when it rained in Brisbane. The photograph was taken from the front steps of the Queensland Art Gallery.

Brisbane in the Rain

High-rises so bland

Become beautiful when seen

Through the mist and rain.

A rainy day #Reenas Xploration prompt

A rainy day ………. by Carol Anne

Carol anne's avatarTherapy Bits

Raindrops fall gently,

Pitter-patter on the roof,

Nature’s melody,

Nature’s tears from up above,

Life renewed, earth refreshed.

Written in response to Reenas xploration prompt, where our challenge is to use rain in our piece.

Use the word rain in any form to share your thoughts.

Alternatively, here is a picture which is experimental on Unsplash.

I stand alone

dying from thirst

No rain

While parts of our world are in the wet season and have too much rain, some areas are desperately needing rain, real and spiritual.

Whether it be actual rain you need or spiritual rain you need, kindness during that season always brings a light of hope. May kindness rain down on you quenching the thirst from hard times.

It’s raining

Every day

And it drenches my self

Water from the sky falling

Like blessings from the Almighty

It soaks through my clothes to my soul

It adds the moisture of kindness to my dry soil

The petrichor of my sodden being awakens

The sleeping humanity in my spirit to full alert

There is an aroma so delightful that my heart sings

From the beautiful combination of all things pleasing

I let go of my umbrella to soak the blessings from heaven, even more

When the Rain Comes

When the rain comes…..by Jim Adams

newepicauthor's avatarA Unique Title For Me

Noah had an older sister named Mahlah who was a beautiful woman, she was so stunning that a fallen angel named Molloch desired her when he saw her splendor.  Molloch dropped down from the sky and swooned around Mahlah when he saw her dancing.  Molloch sang a magic song, as he danced above Mahlah in the air to seduce her.  Molloch fell upon Mahlah and entered her and she conceived a giant.  As Mahlah reached the advanced stages of her pregnancy her womb stretched painfully, because she was carrying a Nephilim, a half-angelic and a half-human hybrid.  The midwives ran when they saw that her skin was pulled so tight around her tiny mortal womb.  Mahlah was all alone when she gave birth to Og and she died as Og came out.

Og was born in the same year that Noah started building the Ark.  Og was four feet tall…
