Point of No Return

Remove the blindfolds slowly, lest bright light blinds me again.

I’ve crawled underground for ages, not because the gates were shut, but I was not aware that another world exists.

I wonder if I was genetically programmed, or cultivated in the petri-dish of ignorance and inactivity. I did not see a reason to suspect anybody’s intent.

But here, Light speaks a different language. It reveals so much in a flash, that I’m unable to believe or digest it.

It is not innocent. It won’t let me go back.

For all the nouveau-art set against my naivete, I will stay here.
