The half-humans you label for future interactions
Where do their significant parts go?
angst, hurt, indignation
deliberate lack of recognition
elephants judged on ability
to climb trees or fly
silently resolve to crush you someday
then you label rampage as madness
they were not meant to fit in your cubbyholes
and they never will
insanity is just a level of existence
beyond your caged mindsets
women maligned for what they wear
or meet or write or chant or protest
because they donโt fall in line
with your sense of entitlement
they are genderless minds, bodyless souls
aspiring to lead their life
not the one you designed
demons are all those missing parts
you want to incarcerate
because they remind you of
your atrocities, your pomposity
your monstrosity
disguised as virtuosity

“your pomposity
your monstrosity
disguised as virtuosity”
Too much of that in this world.

Why do men treat women so inhumanely? If only all the women would get together and show men what they are capable of. These lines jumped out at me, Reena:
โinsanity is just a level of existence
beyond your caged mindsetsโ
and
โdemons are all those missing parts
you want to incarcerate
because they remind you of
your atrocities, your pomposity
your monstrosity
disguised as virtuosityโ.

That closing line… we all see those men, and what they do.

Thank you, Dest! A character in my book “When Time Stopped” is called Destiny (nicknamed Tini), hence I’m resorting to Dest here :).
