Lamatnahi (Endless)

tears well up from unknown depths
bloodstreams try to gauge
everything that crawls under my skin
the “ghuttan” of volcanoes inside
the “qasak” of unsaid words

health monitors fluctuate
on a wild hunt for “qaraar”
drop down in exhaustion
Yet refuse to flatten the line
There’s more to come….

  1. Such powerful imagery! The words “ghuttan,” “qasak,” and “qaraar” carry an emotional weight that translations can hardly capture. I especially love how the fluctuating health monitor becomes a metaphor for an inner life that refuses to settle.
