P.S. This season in India is more about festivals and weddings that call for glamour. Autumn is not a fallen leaf, but a season that inspires runway looks.

Reading about autumn as a season that inspires runway looks made me smile. Most people in my circles only talk about the weather getting chilly and their joints starting to lock up when the damp air sets in. It is refreshing to read about fashion magazines and glamour instead of aches. When the cooler winds arrive, keeping the shoulders relaxed and letting the arms swing naturally makes a big difference in how stiff the upper back feels by evening. Thank you for sharing a brighter view of the season.

Reena, I really love how you played with “cool” here, it starts off just describing the weather, then slides into fashion, and by the end it’s basically talking about money without ever saying so directly. That last line got me, “cool cash” is such a smart way to end it, kind of a double meaning without trying too hard. And your note about autumn actually being wedding/runway season in India, not falling leaves, added a nice touch I wouldn’t have thought about otherwise. Really well done!

There are ways to look cool or trendy without giving up comfort. It all depends on the individual’s ability to pull it off by being creative.

A cool poem, I am too old for fashion trends, I tend to wear what is comfortable for me.

It’s not about being old, but knowing your comfort matters more than trends.

the fashion industry has something for every season. When I was younger, every trend dipped into my pockets. Now its all about practicality. If it works good, it’s staple part of wardrobe.
I enjoyed your response, Reena.

I don’t pay much attention to the fashion trends.

I worry more about what will look good on me, rather than what’s cool. Haven’t psid homage to the Farshi Salwar trend yet :), because it won’t look good on low heels, and I can’t wear heels higher than 2 inches.
