Those Who Believe

Who would bother to live if there were a choice?
The Lex Hypocrite who wrote the epic Destiny?
Mirror-Smith of Broken Laws; torchbearer in daylight
who see manacled reflections in shame-coated glass?

The Lex Hypocrite who wrote the epic Destiny
He wove words around Guilt and Sin; to damn
who see manacled reflections in shame-coated glass
The smith stands behind – free, outside the frame

He wove words around Guilt and Sin; to damn
those who believe – despite having free will
The smith stands behind – free, outside the frame
He holds a noose made of lies, a cage of deceit

those who believe – despite having free will
who would bother to live, if there were a choice
He holds a noose made of lies, a cage of deceit
Mirror-Smith of Broken Laws; torchbearer in daylight

  1. Reena, this is devastating. The image of people seeing themselves through

    “shame-coated glass”

that’s gaslighting in one line. And that question at the start…

I can’t stop thinking about it. This needs to be read by everyone who’s ever felt trapped by someone else’s lies.
