I wince
my truth is underplayed
my honesty suspected
for I happen to be
a storyteller
stories are pixelated truth
fragments of thoughts
floating through humanity
And if my words are shadows on the wall,
is it deception—
or the only way to touch the light?

I loved the juxtaposition of words, shadows, and light….so expertly written, well done Reena! 🩵

The honesty in this poem about the paradox of storytelling, fragments as truth, shadows as light is stunning. You’ve answered your own question perfectly: it’s not deception; it’s the truest way we know how to touch what matters most. Beautiful work, Reena. 💫
