closed doors mock my decisions
You are blocked
screams every entrance
-angry paths locked beyond
swear silently
not cuss words
but indifference
those were not decisions
just an escape
from the unbearable
baggage on my back
neither you nor me
were travellers with a map
not burning with ambition
not rowing a boat
not on the driving seat
just coasting along
wishing on stars
what stares back at us today
not joy
not success
not disappointment
-just a void
threatening to swallow
what was never ours
what was never meant to be

oh let that baggage go!

I find that people with ambitions are the ones closing all those doors…
