Time and God

It flows with me, but I can’t keep pace with it. I am a dot.

I ask the river to carry my story to the oceans. It accepts by touching my hand lowered over the guardrail.

The sun takes away a part of it, and clouds rain somewhere else.

Other stories are curious and want to mingle with mine. The river looks helpless. It cannot ensure segregation.

A collective version reaches the ocean, and the ocean issues a verdict.

I’m rewarded or punished for things I did not do.

It is the story of the human race. We cannot disconnect.

  1. Sounds almost like being punished for the sins of the father. While humanity has a common responsibility, individuals shouldn’t be held accountable for the wrongs others have done or rewarded for the virtues of others.
