I will meet life at a point
where I finally embrace
myself
like a new acquaintance
sans preconceived notions
without a care
for public opinion
or a legacy
-yet the footprints
will speak louder
than those squeaky shoes

  1. That paradox at the heart of it not caring about legacy, yet the footprints speaking louder that’s the whole truth of authenticity. When you stop performing for an audience (including yourself), that’s when your actual impact crystallizes.
    The squeaky shoes were doing all the talking anyway, it’s the silent footprints that change the ground. 💜
