She saw it floating on the TV console, then on the wall – the shadow of half a face wearing a turban with dark, intense eyes.
Did she do the right thing by choosing to stay alone in a palace converted to a hotel resort?
She walked to the library and randomly pulled out a book, and… a photograph fell from the pages – of the same man.
This was getting interesting, and she needed a pinch of reality before delving into historical fiction, so she switched on the TV.
A newsreader she detested was talking about a criminal who placed mysterious clues in resorts and then demanded money to exorcise the ghost.
She called the reception to say, “I’ll pay someone who can co-author a mystery novel with me.”

given recent new about smart tv brand including a ‘hold harmless’ in their software setups, ya gotta smile at the idea that back in the day (1950-1970s) people claiming their tv was spying on them… they were correct, just a few decades ahead of time.

Just someone to tell you where stuff is hidden. The remaining blanks can be filled in.

This is true to life. Arthur Conan Doyle (author of Sherlock Holmes) was heavily involved in spiritualism, promoted it as true, and attended many seances.

That palace turned into a hotel sounds like a great place to stay. It even comes with mysteries and a potential co-author.

Life’s hardest moments cannot always be avoided. Growth often begins when we stop searching for shortcuts and choose to face our challenges with courage, patience, and determination. Every difficult experience carries the potential to shape us into stronger and wiser versions of ourselves.
Rather than running from fear or discomfort, moving through it allows healing and personal transformation to begin. Each obstacle teaches valuable lessons, builds resilience, and reveals strengths that often remain hidden until they are truly needed.
The path forward is rarely easy, but every step taken with confidence brings you closer to becoming the person you are meant to be. Progress is not about avoiding hardship but about continuing despite uncertainty, setbacks, and moments of self doubt.
True strength is found in facing life’s challenges with an open heart and an unwavering spirit. When you choose to go right through the struggle instead of around it, you discover resilience, confidence, and a deeper understanding of your own potential.
