Firebrand

I don’t like the sound of other dogs barking.

I love the balcony. I love walking safely in the shadow of my parents. I love car rides.

I’m protected by boundary lines.

And those canines out there …. they better know the Queen has arrived, flanked by bodyguards. Mom carries me when she senses danger, and I bark right in her ears. It is my birthright.

I like proving supremacy in my deemed territory.

I like venting out suppressed anger from previous lifetimes.

You cuddle me because I am cute. You don’t know how many volcanoes I nurse inside me.

      1. When our cat gets up from her nap, she comes to both of us and meows. I swear it sounds like she is saying hello. She also can be a brat when she wants attention, and her meows reflect her bad mood. Animals are awesome.

  1. Me too, I don’t like the sound of other dogs barking in my street either. There are so many dogs in my town that sometimes come, especially in the nights. Nice one, Reena 👍
