This is an excerpt from my book “When Time Stopped” where this image kind of fits in.
I meet her inside the next door.
“So, you are finally here? But I’m trapped, cannot come out to greet you.”
“Do we know each other?”
“How can you forget? You are the one who worships me in temples, and you are the one who killed me.”
“What makes you think you are trapped?” I say that to offer some hope. I feel sorry for the deranged woman I see, who claims to be a Goddess of some sort.
I remember a face in the mirror with a distinct sound of thumping, asking to be let out – forlorn and pleading,

it sounded as though she was talking to the person staring back at her in the mirror.

That is a probability. But the protagonist of this book is a paranormal investigator who strays into unfamiliar territory.

Great story Reena – the transition from the physical room to a memory of a mirror leaves us questioning who is actually trapped, and where? 🙌

The question is valid. But this speculative fiction book about a paranormal investigator’s exploration leaves many such questions.

The power of gods and goddesses wax and wane with the number of worshipers, or lack thereof.
