Trapped Goddess

This is an excerpt from my book “When Time Stopped” where this image kind of fits in.


I meet her inside the next door.

“So, you are finally here? But I’m trapped, cannot come out to greet you.”

 “Do we know each other?”

 “How can you forget? You are the one who worships me in temples, and you are the one who killed me.”

“What makes you think you are trapped?” I say that to offer some hope. I feel sorry for the deranged woman I see, who claims to be a Goddess of some sort.

I remember a face in the mirror with a distinct sound of thumping, asking to be let out – forlorn and pleading,
