soggy dreams
wet with unshed tears
bloom into stories

raindrops tiptoe
on the roof to meet
parched hope

dried leaves in my hair
autumn walks through a lifetime
moments revisited
then buried

my dog licks
salty cheeks to plant
a rose in loneliness
