Change the footwear if it is uncomfortable.
It is a legacy.
Shuffling feet won’t get you anywhere. Design your itinerary, make travel bookings, buy appropriate footwear and don’t let anything pull you back.
But those are my roots.
Then you are a tree, and trees are immobile.

Remember and honor the past but don’t let it tie you down back there.

True. Those shoelaces and the direction they take need to be controlled by you.

Once again, so timely! Shaking the dirt off my earth-bound roots and stepping forward like the traveler I’m meant to be! ❤️

liked what Lincol said about moving out of our comfort zone.
while no one would wish for a life of discomfit, there is a certain insidiousness in the seemingly natural process of ‘getting comfortable’…with what we are/how we are/our slightly less aggressive drive to develop and change
thought-provoking as always

Good observation that roots make one immobile.

Never having been one for being firmly rooted- I very much appreciate your logic here.

the part about the roots and that trees are immobile…
legacy too…
I guess the way I read that was that humans are not meant to stand still or wear uncomfortable things,
It’s better to buy new shoes and move on.
Very motivating and well written.

A clear and motivating message: it invites us to leave our comfort zone, move forward, and not get trapped in what limits us, even if it’s our roots.
