A space can limit us as well as define us.
Spaces aren’t just containers of points. They also create relationships between points.
Symmetry is a wonderful example of reflection creating beauty.
Constraint becomes flight
meaning blooms in symmetry
space sings through the count.
I see the concept expanding into transformation and possibility. It is like a poet stretching a blue cocktail in a glass to become the sky. A video-maker would do the same.
I watch expert dancers rocking and gyrating on a circular dance floor. I wonder how both add value to each other’s performance. The secret of their success is moving within a defined space. A step beyond would make them look wild.
In every step, the floor remembers symmetry; in every turn, space becomes song.
Syllabic poetry confines expression to a count; yet it brings out dormant relationships between words to create meaning.
silent syllables
counted steps reveal the ties
words bloom into truth

I loved your very inciteful post, Rena and the way you compared space with art, dance, and poetry. You utilized the perfect space for writing this post.

Thank you so much! I had to rack my brains for this, though 😀

The harder you work on something, the more pride you can take when it comes out the way you wanted it to be.
