Artificial Intelligence was playing pranks again, as I was tpreparing a training session on banking fundamentals in the local language.

We Indians spell some negotiable instruments as “cheque”, but Autocorrect doesn’t know that.

Check has multiple meanings in English, but Google Translate and Grammarly do not know it.

I use an input tool as a last resort, but it takes me a long time to type something I can say in less than a minute.

Trainees not only speak different dialects, but the mixed audience may also have different orientations, such as visual, auditory, kinesthetic, or digital.

Well, the slides will be in English, and the rest can be verbal without sounding like a sermon, suggests ChatGPT.

  1. AI lacks depth of understanding, and as you relate here, cultural context. Thus doesn’t have the flexibility needed for on-going communication. Not as useful as we might like, but I still prefer Team Human. 😉

  2. funny, I dug up a WIP in which the antagonist (sort) was computer that developed a self-published blog (that predicted murders) back in 2016 (AI wasn’t yet a household word)

    1. I came across a video on Future Life Progression, where someone could see their future lives under hypnosis. The person described countries ruled by a benevolent AI.

      You are right. The genie is not going back in the bottle again.
