Reena’s Xploration Challenge #414

Welcome back!

PROMPT #414

Thanks to Dan Koe for sharing this insight with me today.

The key insight of postmodernism is aperspectivalism, or that no perspective is privileged. All views are situated, partial, and contextual.

I generated two images to visualize the term aperspectivalism.

Well, if this sounds too confusing, it probably is. The idea is not to intimidate, but provide a point of reference. Let us simplify the task.

For this week’s writing prompt, you need to choose any one from the given situations.

  1. A character wakes up in a world where everyone sees colors differently.

2. A poet and a scientist debate the meaning of a sunset.

3. A storyteller writes about a childhood memory, then interviews others who were there.

4. A time traveler visits the same moment in history from multiple cultural vantage points.

5. A novelist creates a story told by five narrators, each contradicting the others.

As you elucidate the situation into prose, poetry, or an image, the terms given above will become clearer. There is no compulsion to use or explain the terms in your creative piece. The terms exist merely as background to direct thought.

There is no restriction on the length or format of the piece. There is no last date unless you wish to be featured in the Weekly Wrap.

We will not include any posts that are found to be offensive, vulgar or that hurt ordinary sensibilities. This needs to be a safe space.

Create a post on your blog and copy-paste the link in the Comments. If you use a pingback, check whether it has worked. I have encountered situations where the pingback did not work. As a result, I missed including the piece in the Weekly Wrap.
