If a messenger takes eons to reach the Earth, what happens to the message?
Does it lose meaning, or does it mutate during the journey to stay relevant?
The recipients know nothing of the source or the purpose of the message. They respond in a manner they think is right for their circumstances.
Then, where is the Divine Magic? Why does it leave loose ends?
Before leaving their birthplaces, the Messengers had asked:
“Why must we travel in silence? Why not announce our arrival?”
The Universe answered:
“If you announced yourselves, you would be feared. If you explained yourselves, you would be dismissed. If you demanded attention, you would be misunderstood.
But if you arrive quietly, those who are ready will notice. Those who are curious will seek. Those who are open will understand.”
And so the Messengers traveled without fanfare, without warning, without proclamation.
Silent, but never meaningless.
Truth does not always arrive loudly. Sometimes it travels for ages, changes shape, and reveals itself only to those prepared to get it.
Silent messengers
truth reshaped by ancient winds,
still finds open hearts.
those who listen become light;
those who don’t stay in shadows

What a thoughtful piece, Reena.

Listening and not speaking needs a lot of strength, as the pressure remains within you.

Wow! A beautiful piece of writing, Reena. We need to be ready when the message arrives with an open mind.

Most of the time, we do not know how to interpret it.
I go by small signs. If there is an inordinate delay with something, maybe it was not meant for me.

A beautiful piece of writing, it is best not to announce our arrival, just to be there when we should be.

I enjoyed your story about cosmic ray behavior, Reena with them not demanding attention while they make their long journey carrying an important message that will provide scientists with a wealth of information. Despite cosmic rays being difficult to trace or having disruptive effects on technology, they need to be studied so we can learn from them, and we don’t want to shoot the messenger.

We certainly don’t want to shoot the messenger, just understand the message as it was intended.

What a beautifully contemplative piece — quiet, cosmic, and full of that soft, luminous wisdom that lingers long after reading. The idea of truth traveling silently and reshaping itself across time is stunning, and your final lines land like a gentle awakening. A gorgeous meditation on how understanding really works.
