Incongruence

Help me, help me be human
When the context is lost
I look for a human hand and brain
behind the machine logic that drives my life
But I am not sure of the proportion

Is there a minuscule being shaped like me
screaming somewhere
that he has not done it
Frankenstein developed a life of its own
It cannot be deemed artificial
after it disconnects from the makers

Is there a giant behind the screen?
It could be a god or Satan
steering the world
or an anti-god turning in its sleep
to slay human will and power

We are not in a simulation
but I see myself in Jurassic Park
being done away with
owing to my incongruence
Outdated I’m not…
but the calendar screens flutter like pages
of books I wrote long ago
in a language that no one
seems to know

  1. This is one of your finest poems, Reena! I love; “Is there a minuscule being shaped like me screaming somewhere that he has not done it
Frankenstein developed a life of its own.” ❤️❤️

  2. A thoughtful piece. I believe we have seriously created a monster that could render us null and void. This is chilling….”or an anti-god turning in its sleep / to slay human will and power”.
