there is another wall between you and me
Brute Power
with all its ignorance
and megalomania
I think we’ll let the wall go
and adopt some other media
Let your wisdom shine through
bite-sized content
GenZ revels in it
others get used to it
you can destroy a block
not tiny particles scattered
through the stratosphere
maybe we will reach somewhere,
we did not intend to
maybe someone will come in search
of origins
ad the book will shine through
like a light in the attic

A smart, dark write Reena. The last couple of poems of yours that I’ve read seem to be mining that vein of the dark side.

There are sparks of hope… if only the attic of our minds could be lit and that positive light lead us to a grand awakining.

Only if the light is positive. Else, let things remain wherever they are.

I really like how “the book will shine through like a light in the attic” feels—quietly hopeful yet grounded in your realism 🌙

A book a light in the attic – the uppermost part of our minds. Quite right.

Reena, you live what you preach.

tiny particles scattered
through the stratosphere

An interesting thought… maybe the aliens will come some day and add their wisdom to the foolishness going on these days! Well done Reena.

A very timely and profound poem. It cleverly reflects distance and connection in the digital age, with a hopeful tone at the end.

What a profound and thought-provoking piece! 🌟
Your poem beautifully captures the tension between power and wisdom, walls and communication, the old and the new. The “wall” you describe isn’t just physical — it feels symbolic of ego, control, and misunderstanding that often separates people, generations, or even ideas. The phrase “Brute Power with all its ignorance and megalomania” is striking — it distills the arrogance of domination in just a few sharp words.
