Welcome back!
Thanks for the divine responses last week!
A special mention for Nancy’s poem. Let’s appreciate and applaud.
The quiet moment shattered, all at once.
A shiver, then a wave, so cold and fast.
My heart a drum, my breath a frantic bird.
The world grew small, a tight and fearful space.I fought it then, with trembling hands and mind,
Wishing it gone, a shadow I could chase.
But shadows stay when light is turned away. Now, when it calls, a ripple in the air,
I turn to greet it, soft and unafraid.
A strange, fierce guest that visits for a while.
I hold its hand, a whisper, not a scream.
And learn to be with it, a passing cloud,
Part of the sky, where calm can still be found.NAR©2025
PROMPT #401
And this week’s prompt is dedicated to Poesy Perspectives and Eugenia. She is the one I know from my LinkedIn heydays, long before I started blogging on WordPress. It was an era of thoughtful engagement to be remembered. Thank you, Eugenia, for all that you are!

Here’s another alternative to imitate Sadje’s style on her wonderful prompt “What Do You See,” where she offers two images as prompts. I was drawn to her site for the title – Life after 50 for Women, and her relentless engagement on other pieces. Thank you, Sadje, for being an understanding friend!
This image is also dedicated to Jim Adams, who is an encyclopedia of information, loves to explore concepts in Physics and takes me on an intellectual journey every week with his Friday Faithfuls prompt.

You can choose any one image or both to inspire your piece.
There is no restriction on the length or format of the piece. There is no last date unless you wish to be featured in the Weekly Wrap.
We will not include any posts that are found to be offensive, vulgar or hurt ordinary sensibilities. This needs to be a safe space.
Create a post on your blog and copy-paste the link in the Comments. If you use a pingback, check to see if it has worked. I have come across cases where the pingback did not work, and I missed including the piece in the Weekly Wrap.
