The bright yellow graphics painted on the door do little to alleviate the overwhelming feeling of being dwarfed by the multitude of powers that have her back.
She feels hemmed in with the pressure, though viewers look upon her quaintness with amusement.
She is the woman who won over gold-plated hearts with the warmth and radiance of her being.
She is the woman who gave King Midas his magic touch, but in doing so, she lost her very essence, her identity.
Her authenticity trembles as gold fingers wrap around her frail wrist, choking thought processes streaming through her blue blood.

Reena, this beautifully written, full of rich metaphor and introspection – the tension between appearance and authenticity is compelling 🙌

Her suffocating feels real, along with her rising anger.

‘…but in doing so, she lost her very essence, her identity. This is the cost you have to pay. Metaphor of gold fingers used beautifully.

You captured so many of the elements of the photo! The building behind the brick building caught my attention too and the ‘blue blood’ – colors red and blue. Though I’m left with a sad feeling as she was deadened by the gold.
