the soulless table
the chair that carries my physical weight
darkness that can be easily replaced
by fluorescence
cannot do much
to pull me out of the woods
It takes a mental window
to take me where I want to be
offer a glimpse of the possible.
Travel without passports
makes me feel weightless
and free
So what if it is
brief like life
unreal like poetry
uncertain like astrology
I discover the meaning of life
in moving away from it

A wonderful and unique take on the prompt, Reena!

The woods can mean so much and certainly there is a lack of sight… maybe we need forests to soothe and prepare us for all the world has to offer

We are disconnected for sure. Forests have become more of a tourist spot than a place to relax.

I love your original approach to the prompt, Reena, and the way you took the moody image, ‘the soulless table’, ‘the chair that carries my physical weight’ and the window, and ran with it, into the mental woods. These lines resonated with me:
‘So what if it is
brief like life
unreal like poetry
uncertain like astrology
I discover the meaning of life
in moving away from it.’
