“18 years, and I still remember what happened that fateful night. It is a sight that hasn’t left me ever since.”
“A lot of good things happened after that. Do you celebrate and commemorate those?”
“I lived through those like many other people do. But whatever happened that night, happened to me alone.”
“And yet, you haven’t lived without support all these years. People were cheering and supporting you, standing up for you, and they have got you wherever you are today. Be grateful for those.
Growth always has your back. You get to choose what you want to grow.”

I am reminded, thinking of growth, how as a child you are constantly called to let go of beloved things you have outgrown (and are, hopefully, pleased to shed some others for the same reason), yet as adults we forget – or wish to – that change is inevitable.

We kind of touch a plateau after 30.

well … on the physical level, yes … but on any other level … I don’t think we ever do stop growing – or at least, having the potential to do so if only we stop struggling against it … 😉

If we’re luck, we never stop growing. Thanks, Reena.

Growth isn’t always easy, but, if even one person has your back that’s all that counts.

That one person can give us a reason to live.

Growing old is overrated but I guess there’s always room for growth.

What a lovely sentiment of control, in the title and in that last line especially.
