dream merchants sell products
a starved, enchanted audience
grabs the first morsel of hope
or last shortcut to destinations
accountability unfixed
-it saves the seller’s skin
diversity of goals unwinds
uniform application of rules
The game goes on
unchecked, ungoverned
-markets thrive
-unfettered growth

Great poem, Reena! I’ve never trusted (or understood) the markets.

For so long, the wild splurges, buys without thinking … seems for most of us, those days are gone. Belt-tightening the norm. I enjoyed this, Reena.
