Spirits

She stares at the bar menu indecisively.

The drinks that her parents stocked in the bar are not featured here. She used to enjoy a Long Island Iced Tea with her ex, but the drink was discarded with bitter memories.

“Do you have a sampling system, where I can try a few options?”

“Lady, are you sure you can hold all that?” the bartender cast a derisive glance at her.

“This is the question I am asked whenever I want to choose. Of course, it involves experimentation, and some things can go wrong.

Well, someday I’ll own a bar and watch others dance to the unexhibited spirit I possess.”
