My windows opened to an endless dream
Not knowing sunshine would shatter that gleam
I admired your elegance and measured moves
Now, why does your silence feel so extreme?
Your sophistication was an unspoken promise.
I dreamt of new worlds, naive as it may seem.
On a dark night, you were the moon serene
In Reena’s home, you dissolved like a dream

hi, Reena 🙂

Reena, this ghazal is beautiful. You’ve created such a unique version, with different words rhyming at the end of each stanza, instead of repeating the same word (or syllable) like in a traditional ghazal. I really love how you’ve made it your own—such a creative twist!
Much love,
David
