PROMPT #366

Here are two short excerpts from the Booker Prize-winning book “ORBITAL” by Samantha Harvey.

Excerpt 1

How are we writing the future of humanity?

We’re not writing anything; it’s writing us.

We’re windblown leaves. We think we are the wind. We are just the leaf.

Excerpt 2

How’s the moon looking from where you are? It looks shadowed and grey like a fat old man.

You can pick up any word or line randomly or use the piece’s spirit as you see it. Let it inspire you to spew out a torrent of words or just a few.

The format of the piece is not restricted, and there is no last date either unless you wish to be featured in the Weekly Wrap. 

We will not include any post that is found to be offensive, vulgar or hurts ordinary sensibilities. This needs to be a safe space.
