It feels like a stampede – tired feet crushing the sidewalks in search of something they cannot find.
As dusk gathers, the unspoken question in jaded thoughts is, “Are they condemned to keep walking in the dark?”
She thought of Sisyphus. Did he have a choice to break the code and let the boulder go its own way? Was he enjoying the game? Maybe he thought it was better to keep struggling than step out and be seen as a failure.
The chorus behind him asked, “Where can we find light?”
In this never-ending shade, who needs light to show blistered feet and deconstructed shoes? The heat will melt your resolve once again.
Enjoy the darkness with a New Moon promising to grow in phases. It allows you to reconstruct and reinvent yourself.
Someone throws a tiny rock in the sky and watches it disappear.

very iteresting take on the prompt Reena! Very cleverly done! 🤗💗

It’s so funny we both mentioned Sisyphus. 🙂
Yes, with the new moon, comes the anticipation and promise of light.
