Welcome back!
FEATURED – RXC #356
I must mention Jim Adams‘s effort to add his element to the picture – a skull-shaped cloud. As he mentions in the comments, it took him more time than writing the post.
While we know Jim’s talent for writing deeply analytical and comprehensive long-form content, this was a first for me. It definitely deserves applause.
PROMPT #357
I recall a cake in the shape of a book I’d ordered for the New Year Party on 31st December 1999. The words iced on it were “TURN A PAGE IN THE BOOK OF TIME.” I found the pic in an old album.
I was so inspired by witnessing the turn of the millennium. While the feared Y2K fiasco did not happen, and systems were functioning smoothly on the morning of 1st January 2000, the evening remains fresh in memory.
This week, I invite you to use a
“turn of phrase”
in your piece.
The dictionary describes it as a way of saying or doing something.
I hear you thinking we writers do it every other day. Well, that should make this exercise super easy for you. If the simplicity of the prompt fails to inspire you, just use the phrase “turn of phrase” somewhere in your piece.
The format of the piece is not restricted, and there is no last date either unless you wish to be featured in the Weekly Wrap.
We will not include any post that is found to be offensive, vulgar or hurts ordinary sensibilities. This needs to be a safe space.
Create a post on your blog and copy-paste the link in the Comments. If you use a pingback, check to see if it has worked.

Congrats to Jim on the surprise. I think I use a turn of phrase subconsciously in my writing, but now that I have to use it specifically, it’s more difficult than people may think. But I’ll give it a whirl on the morrow.
