Never a great cook, she rummaged through the larder to see if she could put together a meal for two.
She wondered what her housekeeper would do with the limited ingredients, without the herbs and sauces she always kept handy. But whom is she trying to impress when she could easily order a fancy meal?
“It might benefit you to learn basic life skills since we’ll have to fend for ourselves on foreign soil,” her guest said.
“Well, join the game,” she playfully suggested.
She walked out to buy wine and cheese while he scrambled through the pots and pans.

Knowing how to cook, imo, is an important skill best learned early in life. Not saying everyone will have a knack for it, hey, you never know!

Funny little story! I’d order dinner over the phone after getting that wine and cheese. Probably faster, and everyone can relax and get drunk.
