truth filters in like light shafts
from the branches of an old tree
unsure of survival
-fearing intense focus
when the tree is chopped
with a political axe
by opportunist woodcutters
truth shrinks
makes way for darkness
-parallel existence
leaves onlookers
in a quandary

Excellent! So, so good!

A really messy quandary, indeed! It is exhausting. I’ve taken to the history channel or the Nat Geo channel. I can’t anymore with the news☺️. A good write Reena.

We definitely need to plant more truth. And stand strong on its roots.

It will work as long as people don’t invent something to change the root-fruit relationship.

I am happy without truths if it wasn’t for the worst of the lies.

Truth does have to make way for lies there days. A sad truth indeed. A very thought-provoking one. Great take!
